She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Powers and Leecie Powers; her husband Billy Matthews; her sons, Jimmy Matthews and Kenny Matthews; her grandchildren, Kris Owens, Kevin Creel and Ashley Creel; and her children-in-law, Rev. Michael Wall and Laina Matthews.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nellie Vonne Lupo and Debbie Wall; her grandchildren, Kacey Lambert (Scotty), Jessica Wall, Brooke Shirlaw (Cameron), Amanda Hanford and Jodi Cribb; her great grandchildren, Annsley, Abby, Matthew, Kingston, Tate, John Cameron, Joseph, Cheyenne, Logan, Ethan, Emma, Nate and Caimon; and her siblings, Shelby Kiser (Jimmy), Leneu Powers (Cora Lee) and Mary Filyaw (Thomas).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hemingway First Pentecostal Holiness Church (208 E Andrews St, Hemingway, SC 29554). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
