George Russell Sutton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Russell Sutton of Hemingway, South Carolina, who passed away on December 10, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Heath Sutton and Evelyn Wilson Sutton; and his daughter Paula Sutton Snow. He is survived by: his wife Mary Dixon Sutton; his daughters, Robin Altman (Jamie), Sally Coker (Ronnie) and Mary Adele Tomlinson (Zan); his grandchildren, Grainger Snow, Drew Altman, Erin Altman, Eli Tomlinson, Mazie Tomlinson, Blair Coker and Brady Russell Coker; and his brothers, Wilson Sutton and Joe Sutton. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel (416 N Main St, Hemingway, SC 29554). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hemingway First Methodist Church (201 E Broad St, Hemingway, SC 29554).
