It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daphney Winnifred Avant of Hemingway, South Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, DJ Avant and Rosa Belle Avant; and his brother Earl Avant. He is survived by: his nieces, Hope Willis, Dawn Coleman and Tammy Marlow; his nephew Robbie Avant; and his grandchildren, Preston Baggett and Kayla Baggett (Chris). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
