He was predeceased by: his parents, Satoru Iwatake and Hideko Kurata Iwatake. He is survived by: his wife Midori Adachi Iwatake; his children, Mika Iwatake Sinclair (Jeremy) of Van Wyck, S. C. and Kenichi "Ken Ken" Iwatake (Stephanie) of Heath Springs, S. C.; his grandchildren, Hana Iwatake and Kayli Iwatake; his brothers, Ko Iwatake (Akiko Iwatake) and Toru Iwatake (Fumiko Iwatake); his pet Ricky Martin; and his daughter-in-law Stephanie.
