He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Allen Sims; his siblings, Steve Sims (Rose) and Janice "Tootie" Cole (Van Elliott); his niece Sonya Payne (Eddy); his nephews, Casey McMackin, Ashley McMackin and Stephen Sims (Staci); his great-nephews, Jacob Sims, Christopher Sims and Jonathan Sims (Greer Beckham); and his great-niece Emma Sims.
