He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Brown Pettit Sr. and Fleta Chandler Pettit. He is survived by: his wife Denise Phillips Pettit; his children, Jack Brown Pettit III and Nicole Pettit Gordon (David) of Heath Springs, SC; his sister Belinda Pettit Warfield (Mike) of Lancaster, SC; his grandchildren, Cody, Braxton and Chase Gordon; his sister-in-law Tammy Mothershed; his father-in-law John T. Phillips; his nieces, Amber Mothershed, Taylor Mothershed, Krystle Mothershed and Crystal Pardue; and his nephew Dalton Mothershed.
