She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Nathan and Essie Powell Sylvester; and her husband Robert David Hough. She is survived by: her sons, Gordon Pate (Rachel) of Jefferson, SC, Linton Hudley (Sherry) of Bethune, SC and Darroll R. Hough, Sr. (Nikki) of Charlotte, NC; and her siblings, Judy Vaugh of Elizabeth City, NC, Joe Sylvester of Boston, MA and Robert Sylvester of Elizabeth City, NC. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
