He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Casey Edwards and Lillian Carter Edwards; his former wife Mary Frances Edwards; his daughter Kay Dean; and his siblings, Bobby Jo Edwards, Peggy Pilgrim and Carolyn Melvin.
He is survived by: his wife Reba Threatt Edwards of Heath Springs; his children, David Eugene Edwards (Dinar) of Lancaster, Samuel H. Edwards of Rock Hill, Rachel Lynn Catoe (Dennis) of Lancaster and Carol Napper of Kershaw; his stepdaughter Jodi Eason (Ben) of Heath Springs; his grandchildren, Lorraine Corzo (Tony), Jessie Smith, Kristine Dean, Michael Napper, Eric Napper, Jordan Eason, Morgan Eason and Luke Eason; and his great grandchild Will Corzo.
