He was predeceased by: his parents, Ephram Watters and Lois Costner Watters; and his brother Vernon Watters. He is survived by: his wife Faye Broome Watters; his children, David L. Watters, Jr. (Alisha) of Lancaster, Robert Wayne Watters of Heath Springs, Janet Watters of Heath Springs, Carol Hoffman of Indian Trail, Regina Byrum of Monroe, Vickie McCain (Ted) of Waxhaw and Crystal Sowell (Ronald) of Lancaster; and his sister Gloria Wilburn of Chester. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
