He is survived by: his wife Sally Putman Sherrin; his children, Sally Renee Sherrin Rainey (Willis) of Macon, GA and Dale Hampton Sherrin, Jr. (Sherilyn) of Camden, SC; his grandson Dale Hampton Sherrin, III; and his brother Kent Sherrin (Kathy) of Lincolnton, NC.
