He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stancil Clanton and Lucille Clanton of Hartsville, SC.; his wife Marcia; his children, Lisa, Todd, Sean and Trevor (Haley); his grandchildren, Emerson, Liam, Norah and Eleanor; and his daughter Renee.

In lieu of flowers, he asked that donations be made to assist the Hartsville area elderly with food and heat.
