She was predeceased by: her parents, Miller Brisbon and Rosa Lee Pearson Brisbon; her husband John Henry Rufus, Sr.; her son John Henry Rufus, Jr.; and her siblings, Thomasina Brisbon, Bertha Brisbon, Johnny Brisbon, Calvin Brisbon and Ollie Brisbon.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Latavia Rufus; her children, Ollie Rufus (Precious) of Myrtle Beach, Addrienne Robinson (David) of Dalzell, Leon Rufus (Unwanta) of Bishopville, Margaret Michael of Bishopville, Alicia Rufus of Bishopville, LaQuanda Rufus of Bishopville, Samantha Durant (Curtis) of Bishopville, Natasha Joe (Christopher) of Dazell and Lucinda Major (Michael) of Sumter; and her siblings, Mazie Shaw of Woodrow, Annielou Joe of Bishopville and Ernest Johnson of Bishopville. She is also survived by forty grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
