It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sara Irene Ray Atkinson (Hartsville, South Carolina), who passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Buddy Ray and Bonnie Arrants Ray; her son Calvin Hall; her granddaughter Marcella Hall; and her brothers, James Ray, Hollis Monroe Ray, Cecil Ray and Daniel Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Bennet of Sumter, Louis Hall (Christine) of Pace, FL, Terry Hall of Forest Park, GA and Gary "Peanut" Hall of Sumter; and her siblings, Nora Ray of Hartsville, Rosa Hinson of Camden, Joe Ray of Bishopville and Ben Ray of Augusta, GA. She is also survived by grandchildren; 20+ great-grandchildren, and 2+ great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Clyde Church of God (1736 Catawba Springs Dr, Hartsville, SC 29550). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Of God Cemetery (1736 Catawba Springs Dr, Hartsville, SC 29550).
