She is survived by: her husband Joel Short; her children, Christy Purvis (Chris) of Hartsville and Anthony Jones (Betty) of Hartsville; her stepchildren, Joshua Short (Kristy) of John's Island, Alicia Lucas (David) of North Charleston and Savannah Flynn (Andy) of Summerville; her brothers, Brian Gainey (Erin) of Currituck, NC and Eric "Buddy" Gainey (Trudy) of Chesterfield; her stepsiblings, Rick Steen, William "Bill" Hancock of Hartsville and Sherri Washbon of New York; her grandchildren, Hunter "Bug" Purvis, Presleigh "Chunky Monkey" Jones, Preston "Lil Dude" Jones and Nathaniel Lucas; and her friend Annette Carr of Bennettsville. She is also survived by four nephews, two nieces, and countless friends.
