It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sadie Smith Bass (Hartsville, South Carolina), who passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Lucas Smith and Mary Galloway Smith; her husband William Eugene Bass; and her siblings, James A. Smith, Luke Smith, Catherine Smith, Juanita Smith, Charles Smith, Jack Smith, Elizabeth S. Kissiah and Vandetta S. Livingston.
She is survived by: her children, Doris McKenzie (Butch) of Lugoff, SC, Ron Bass (Susan) of Hartsville, SC and Ann Partin (David) of Burlington, NC; her grandchildren, Kristi Amundson (Dave), Jennifer Newbold (Chris), Sydney Primis (Kendall), Will Bass and Daniel Bass; her great grandchildren, Alex, Hannah, Sydney Reynolds, Hayden Newbold, Phillip Bass, Avery, Fletcher, Brady Primis and Sadie Brooks; her great great grandchild Clara Reynolds; her sisters-in-law, Martha Smith and Patsy Newsome; and her close friends, Kirk, Joye, Zach, Nick and Whitney Davis.
