He was predeceased by: his mother Viola Miller Mixon; his wife Beverly Mixon; his siblings, William Mixon, Willie "Pee Wee" Mixon, Frank Mixon, Betty Freeman, Hattie Sanders, Marilyn Ferguson and Janice Woods; and his grandson Trevor Lee Tedder.
He is survived by: his daughters, Miranda J McLain, Denise Tedder (Dustin) of McBee, Dawn Segars (Oliver) and Tara McCathern (Josh) of Hartsville; his grandchildren, Tori Mixon, Summer Munoz, Allie Mixon, Landon Tedder, Bryce Segars, Cannon Tedder, Kinsley McCathern, Gardner Segars and Brooklynn McCathern; his great grandchildren, Roman, Ruben Munoz and Raelynn Mixon; his sisters, Joyce Wallace (Harrison) of Cheraw, Carolyn Sanders of Patrick, Gloria Shoemake (David) of Hartsville, Colleen Simmons (Ricky) of Hartsville, Cynthia Cope (Mark) of Advance, NC, Lisa Tallon (Don) of Marion, SC, Marie Atkinson of Hartsville, SC and Trish Morris of West Virginia; his siblings-in-law, Sheila Mixon of Mocksville, NC and Eddie Freeman; and his close friend Anna Martin.
