He is survived by: his wife Janice Thomas Hughey; his children, Kimberly Thompson (Anthony), Rhonda Hughey and Ronald E. Hughey, Jr. (Nicole); and his sisters, Donna Cowick (Richard), Charlotte, Linda Coates and Rock Hill. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
