He was predeceased by: his father Harold E. Player; his former wife Deborah DuBose; his sister Karen Player Baynham; his stepfather Thomas Kelly; and his grandparents, Mack and Olivia Reynolds.
He is survived by: his mother Allene Reynolds Kelly of Evans, GA; his great grandchildren, Avery, Ariya and Allison; his grandson Demetrius; his son Jason DuBose of Hartsville, SC; his stepson Michael Byrd (Callie) of Hartsville, SC; his siblings, Mike Player of Evans, GA, Lynn Shaw (Rodney) of North Augusta, SC and Debbie Maybee (Rick) of Evans, GA; and his pet Abby.
