He was predeceased by: his parents, Buck Dixon and Margaret Freeman Dixon; his son Timmy Bartholow; his granddaughter Gabriele Floyd; his siblings, Danny Ray Dixon, Diane O'Neal and Joanne Runey; and his close friends, Johnny and Margie Winburn.
He is survived by: his wife Shirlene Dixon; his children, Robin Duke (Dwayne) of Tallapoosa, GA, Rebecca Floyd (Joseph), Hartsville of Richard Dennis and Dixon, Jr.; his brother Donnie Dixon; his daughter Joann Gay of Heflin, AL; and his close friend B. J. (Ronda Cunningham). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
The family of Mr. Dixon has asked in lieu of flowers that gifts to help with funeral expenses will be greatly appreciated.
