It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Melvin Chapman (Hartsville, South Carolina), who passed away on February 6, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Retha; and his siblings, Howard D. Chapman, Harry J. Chapman and Margie Chapman Watson. He is survived by: his brother-in-law John McIntosh; his children, Cynthia Chapman Harrell (William) and Dr. Raymond McIntosh Chapman (Pam); his grandchildren, Russell Rogers Harrell (Nikki), Lora Harrell Knotts (Blake), Meredith Chapman Bonno (Eric), John McIntosh Chapman (Chandler Ann), Thomas Charles Chapman and Andrew Benson Chapman; and his great grandchildren, Cayley Harrell, Lorelai Knotts, Emmett Knotts and Lana Hart Bonno.
They were true soulmates and sweethearts and would remain married for over 73 years until her death from COVID on December 31, 2020.
