She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Randolph Griggs; and her brothers, John Michael Gandy, Stephen Irwin Gandy and Leon Edward Gandy, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Raymond Randolph Griggs II (Sharon) and Carlton Ashley Griggs (Lori); her grandchildren, Paula Kristiine Margocee, Michelle Margocee Gainey (Brian), Matthew Lawrence Urbaniak (Grace), Elena Danielle Urbaniak, Tanner Reese Griggs, Ryann Wilkes Griggs and Jess Warner Griggs; her sister Dorothy "Dottie" Wheeler; her siblings-in-law, Helen G. Byrd, Beulah G. Chapman, Brenda Dixon Gandy, Laverne Griggs and Olin Griggs; and her friend Bobby Melton.
