He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Butler and Dorothy Bash Butler; his wife Linda Carman Butler; and his siblings, John, Richard, Butch Butler, Emma Proger, Dorothy Means and Mary Doughty.
He is survived by: his children, Ken Butler (Holly), Paul Butler, Ellie Bevan (Shaun) of Martins Ferry, Toni Smathers (Jamie) of Monroe, NC and Renee Stamey (Mark) of Walhalla, SC; his stepchildren, Val Goodale (Randy) of Hartsville, SC, Frank Baricska of Hartsville, SC, Andy Baricska of Hartsville, SC and Kathy McClung (Jim) of Piney Fork, OH; and his sisters, Sally Harris of Rayland, OH. and Grace Meeker of Rayland, OH.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
