He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. O'Neal and Esma Stewart O'Neal; his wife Janice Outlaw O'Neal; and his brother Mark C. O'Neal. He is survived by: his daughter Laurie Lane (Gordon); his siblings, Bobby O'Neal (Martha Frey), Iris Tyler (Jimmy) and Sarah Teal; and his close friend Laura Griggs Burns.
