She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Lawrimore and Almead Lawrimore; her husband Hal Newsom; her son Jamie Newsom; her son-in-law Heyward Howle; and her siblings, Willard Lawrimore, Billy Lawrimore, Ruth Shaw, Katie Fenters and Iva Ridgell.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Howle of Hartsville; her grandchildren, Jessica McManus (Chad) of Ruby and Adam Howle (Emalie) of Aiken; and her great grandchildren, CJ, Waylen, Mason McManus of Ruby, Harrison and Pierson Howle of Aiken. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
