It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Luther Peavy of Hartsville, South Carolina, who passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Peavy and Hattie Juanita "Niter" Peavy; and his brother Grover Steve Peavy. He is survived by: his wife Renee Tallon Peavy; his sons, James L. "Jay" Peavy, Jr. of Hartsville, Matthew Tallon Peavy (Lauren) of Hartsville and William Lane "Will" Peavy (Nicole) of Hartsville; his grandson Carter Bryce Peavy; and his siblings, Kenneth Gene Peavy (Deborah) and Jewel Daphine Peavy.
