He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Smith of Hartsville, SC and Martha Smith Hayes (James) of Jefferson, SC; his niece Bettina Rayfield of Murrells Inlet, SC; and his great-niece Sarah Hayes of Jefferson, SC.. He is also survived by animals and leaves behind his cats.
