He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Norton and Louise Huggins Norton. He is survived by: his sister Lea Wanda Wallace of Patrick, SC; his nephews, Don O'Neal of Ruby, SC and Bud Wallace of Ruby, SC; and his close friend Frankie Brewer.
