He was predeceased by: his son John Jennings Lyles; and his siblings, Ruby King, Kate Teal, Mary Lee Byrd and Willie J (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Judy H. Lyles; his children, Justin Korey Lyles (Ashley) of Lexington, Joshua Lance Lyles (Kaitlin) of Lexington, Jordan Horton Lyles (Brei) of Lexington, Jody Clinton Lyles of Columbia, Jacob Preston Lyles of Hartsville and Dawn Elaine Contino (Steve) of Rock Hill; his grandchildren, Harrison Lyles, Logan Lyles and Genna Contino; and his sister Lina Ruth Gardner of Florence.
