He was predeceased by: his parents, Heyward M. "Hot Shot" Andrews, Jr. and Zuleen Smith Andrews; his wife Kathryn Skinner Andrews; his son Harley Segars; and his siblings, Charles E. Andrews, Sr. and Alice Gainey.

He is survived by: his daughters, Joye S. Davis (Kirk) and Karen S. Dorriety (Will); his grandsons, Cliff Muckenfuss (MaryAnn), Kenworth Segars, Nick Davis (Whitney) and Zack Davis; his sister Patsy A. Yearty; his close friend Belvia Wint; and his nieces and nephews, Chuck Andrews (Kay), Richie Gainey (Deanna), Dale Gainey, Karen Andrews Greene (Mark) and Tanya Yearty Billingsley (Steve).
