She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Gainey and Gladys Hawkins Gainey; her husband John Coates; her son Barry Kelly; and her brother Jimmy Gainey.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Kelly (Wendy), Brad Kelly, John Coates (Lori) of Gastonia, NC and Alice Watford (Mitch); and her brother Charles Gainey (Emily). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Norton Funeral Home and Crematory - Hartsville (1414 W Carolina Ave, Hartsville, SC 29550). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery of Hartsville (2236 Bethlehem Rd, Hartsville, SC 29550).
