He was predeceased by: his parents, Waddy Laneau Hancock and Mary Maxcy Hancock; his grandson Lane Ham; his daughter-in-law Debbie Hancock; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Hancock.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Huggins Hancock; his children, Arlene Ham (Barry) of Manning, Reggie Hancock (Carol Bedenbaugh) of Hartsville and Robin Pollard (Rox, Jr.) of Columbia; his grandsons, Blake Hancock (Anna) and Rox Pollard, III; and his brother John Ashley Hancock (Myrtle) of Darlington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
