She was predeceased by: her parents, Clem Edward McQuaig, Sr. and Mamie Moody McQuaig; her husband John Wesley Melton, Sr.; her siblings, Clem Edward McQuaig, Jr. and Elma Coleman; her grandson Jeff Saylor; and her daughter-in-law Jane Melton.
She is survived by: her children, John Wesley Melton, Jr., Mamie Richmond (Dennis) and Joy Gandy (Kenny). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends.
