It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Alma Horne McElveen (Hartsville, South Carolina), who passed away on September 23, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph W. Horne and Alma Kennington Horne; her husband Delmouth "Red" McElveen; and her siblings, Lib Morrell, Maggie Moody, Mary Grainger, Lorece Carnahan, Pat Schreckenghost, Bob Horne, J. W. Horne and George Horne.

She is survived by: her son Greg McElveen (Ronda); her granddaughter Madeline McElveen of Hartsville, SC; her sister Eleanor Davidson of Cocoa Beach, FL; and her niece Cheryl Shepherd of Hartsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Music Fund at First Presbyterian Church, 213 West Home Avenue, Hartsville, SC 29550.
