She was predeceased by: her parents, Sydney L. "Roy" Turnage and Gertrude Gibson Turnage; and her sister Margaret Byrd. She is survived by: her children, Perry Byrd (Jana) of Graniteville, SC, Angela Elmore (Ken) of Mooresville, NC, Allison Byrd (Johnny) of Hartsville, SC and Garrett Byrd of Dillon, SC; her sister Sydney Powell; her grandchildren, Ashley Usher, Corey Byrd, Daniel Byrd, David Byrd, William Byrd and Reavis Byrd; her great grandchildren, Nicole Harrell, Jema Byrd, Coyt Byrd and Beckham Byrd; and her close friend Linda Chilton.
