It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald David Putnam Jr. (Hartsville, South Carolina), who passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Jean Putnam; his parents, Donald David Putnam, Sr. and Mary Etta Langston Putnam; and his wife Jean Stewart Putnam. He is survived by: his daughter April P. Leeth (Vincent); his grandchildren, David V. Leeth (Macie) and Elizabeth M. Leeth of Taylors, S. C.; his brother Richard C. Putnam of Florence, S. C.; his sisters-in-law, Mary S. Gainey (Howard) of Greensboro, N. C., Diane S. Newsome (Carl) and Linda G. Stewart of Hartsville, S. C.; and his aunt Margaret L. Clark of Concord, N. C.. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kelleytown Baptist Church (2609 Kelleytown Rd, Hartsville, SC 29550). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
