He was predeceased by: his grandmother Jessie Miller; and his pet Molly. He is survived by: his son David; his parents, Lee Lanier and Margaret Lanier; his brother Greg; his children, Anna Chase, Charlotte and Sam of Dallas, Texas; his sister Meredith Lanier Craddock (Ryan) of Buies Creek, NC; and his aunt Mary Anne Matthews.
