He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Thomas and Fleetwood Dubose Thomas; his wife Frances Thomas; his brother Timmons Thomas; and his daughters, Lynn Brown and Susan McGirt.
He is survived by: his son Terry Thomas (Mary) of Lydia, SC; his grandchildren, Greg Brown (Cherri) of Lydia, SC, Carl McGirt (Jennifer) of Pelham, AL, Michelle McGirt of Pensacola, FL and Erin Jackson (Jared) of Charleston, SC; his great grandchildren, Kelsy Defee of Bishopville, SC, Allyssa McGirt of Tuscaloosa, AL, Cole Brown of Lydia, SC and Thomas Jackson of Charleston, SC; and his sister-in-law Bunny Thomas of Florence, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
