She was predeceased by: her parents, Luke T. Hill and Jesse Mae Hill; her husband John Steele Nichols; her siblings, Boardman Hill, Alvin Hill, Rudolph Hill, Ottie Mae Chwalek, Margaret King Armstrong, Ella Mae Floyd and Vadere Moates; and her grandson Brent Steele Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Kris Nichols Johnson (Jerry) and John S. Nichols, Jr. (Elaine); her grandchildren, Leslee N. Johnson, Blake J. Johnson, Ashley Nichols Suits (Burk) and Alison Nichols McNatt (Chris); and her great grandchildren, Luke, Ben Johnson, Cormac Allen, Layton, BJ Suits and Livia McNatt. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
