He was predeceased by: his parents, George Holmes and Lannie Richardson Holmes; his sister Mable Holmes; his niece Mable Lee Holmes; and his brother William Holmes.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara H. Garcia of Virginia Beach, VA, Shauntae Leatherwood (Herman) of Columbia, SC and Frankie L. Holmes of Darlington, SC; his nephew Levan James (Linda) of Philadelphia, PA; and his niece Miriam Ramsey (Jim) of Sicklerville, NJ. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and very dear friends.
