With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vance Collier Sr. of Harleyville, South Carolina, who passed away on January 18, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson and Caroline Elizabeth Wimberly Collier; his wife Alma Owens Collier; his daughters, Mary Jeanne Collier and Vanessa E. Collier; and his siblings, Maude Hutto, Ella Rhett Mims, Rozelle Graham Wyndham, Mary Tease Martin, Iva Collier Knight, Raymond Collier, Will Collier, Joe Collier, Manning Collier, Ralph Collier, Heyward Collier and John Collier (Gus).
He is survived by: his children, Carol Collier Plexico (Ben) of Columbia, Donna Collier-Harper of Columbia and Vance E. Collier, Jr. (Sheri); his grandchildren, Jordan J. Collier of Columbia and Vance E. Collier, III of Columbia; his daughter-in-law Sharon J. Cahaly; and his sister-in-law Nettie O. Walters. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
