He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Capers; his close friend Mary Pooser; his siblings, Samuel, Elijah, Lula Bell, Annie Mae, Charlie, Josephine and Angie; his children, Na'Kneetra Capers-Ruiz (Juan), Quimaine "Tory" Capers, Uche Capers and Joey Capers; his stepdaughter Martha Kate MacRae; and his sister-in-law Reverend Regina Capers. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
