He is survived by: his wife Marlene Westbury Banner; his daughters, Niki Garris (Scott) of St. George and Laura Dantzler (Joey) of Harleyville; his grandchildren, Meg Garris of Charleston, Will Garris, Camryn Garris of St. George, Emma Dantzler and Brenner Dantzler of Harleyville; his siblings, Paul Banner (Gayle) of Lexington and Princess Banner of California; his mother-in-law Catherine Westbury; and his sisters-in-law, Cathy Hill (Ed) of St. George and Luanne Mauney (Phil) of St. George. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. George United Methodist Church, Missions Day Meals or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
