It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Frances Young of Hardeeville, South Carolina, who passed away on December 12, 2024, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her son Darius Young; her siblings, Christopher Young (Blanche), Constance Young, Cheryl Zinnerman (James "Ted"), Frank R. Young, Jr. (Angela) and Craig Young; and her sister-in-law Dionne Terri Young.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Carmel Baptist Center (3763 Bees Creek Rd, Ridgeland, SC 29936). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Porter Cemetery. Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
