He was predeceased by: his parents, R. D. Self and Madeline Benton Self. He is survived by: his wife Fern Self; his daughter Kimberly Self Davis; his siblings, Leonard Self (Penny), Daniel Self and Sherry Grant (Ronnie); and his sister-in-law Brenda Derhammer (Roy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
