With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Edward Whittle of Hardeeville, South Carolina, born in Aiken, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 13, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jones C. Whittle and Rosa Ola Garvin Whittle; and his significant other Linda Sims. He is survived by: his children, Madina Matte (Patrick), Debra VanWensveen, Dianne Sims, Sid Sims, Wally Whittle (Bonnie), Lee Whittle (Dianne) and Alton Miller; and his sister Betty Smalley. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren.
