He was predeceased by: his parents, Reid Hoot Gibson and Beulah Jarrell Gibson; his son Billy Ray Gibson; and his grandson Shawn Gibson. He is survived by: his son Daniel S. Gibson; his grandson Chad S. Gibson; his great grandchild Barbara Gause Gibson; and his siblings, Eddie Hoot Gibson (Barbara) and Nancy Gibson Duncum (late Leo). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
