She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James "Buck" Joyner and Dolly Lou Harris Joyner; her children, Allison Bootle (Derrick Sorrell) of North Charleston, Lorrie Merideth of Hanahan and John Lee Merideth (Angela Taylor) of North Charleston; her sister Alice Santiago (Julian) of Goose Creek; and her grandchildren, Jacob Collins, Catlin Merideth, Andrew Simpson, Christopher Weatherford, John Weatherford, Kaela Sorrel and Mariah Taylor. She was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
