She was predeceased by: her husband John C. Smith; her son Jody Smith; and her siblings, Tommy Wren, Timmy Wren, Betty Schernoltz and Teresa Martin.

She is survived by: her significant other Daniel Reed; her son John Smith of Mt. Pleasant; her grandchildren, Valerie Smith of Mt. Pleasant and Cassidy Smith; her daughter-in-law Tanya Hazel; and her sister-in-law Joyce Wren of Moncks Corner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
