He was predeceased by: his parents, William Randolph Nix and Frances Reynolds Nix; and his son Joseph Scott Nix. He is survived by: his wife Connie Lois Moseley Nix of Hampton; his son Phillip Nix (Becky) of Varnville; and his siblings, Ricky Nix (Karen) of Atlanta, Georgia and Connie Sauls of Beaufort.
