He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Donald Reid, Sr. and Edna Long Reid. He is survived by: his wife Ivy Blanche Crapse Reid of Estill; his son Peter Donald Reid, III (Susan) of Estill; his siblings, Patricia Brant of Ulmer, Brenda Thames (Ray) of Fairfax, Sandra Gray of Barnwell, Larry Reid (Dorothy) of Barnwell, Kenny Reid (Leona) of Barnwell, Johnny Reid (Patty) of Barnwell and Franklin Reid (Tonia) of Grenada; and his granddaughter Cecilia Reid.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be sent to Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, 300 Mulberry Street West, Hampton, SC 29924.
